Join THE COMMUNITY

This Community Outreach program and events are for the whole family with a focus on training scholars ages 12 - 18 years old to be stewards of the land. 

We will:

1. Learn composting science.

2. Grow food from scratch.

3. Expand agricultural vocabulary.

4. Volunteer in community gardens.

5. Collect food scraps from schools and events for composting.

June 26th - August 17th, 2024

Session 1: 

Tuesday June 26th - Saturday July 13th 

Session 2:

Tuesday July 16th - Saturday July 27th

Session 3:

Tuesday July 30th - Saturday August 17th

Certify a piece of your space to a compost system for neighboring communities ... 

Build Soil

Includes:

• written and review agreement stating project duration, roles and responsibilities,  best drop off days / times, water usage & objectives 
• an Established composting system 

(geo bin or trench method)

• Compost Grow Eat Repeat yard signage 
• supply of brown materials 

(straw bale, woodchips, leaves, etc.)

• access to nutrient dense finished compost 

Want to share your beautifully crafted garden design or farm business with the youth of today?

C.G.E.R. exposes children & families to different growing techniques as we explore the community gardens and farms around us.

Description:

• groups between 5 to 20 of students/staff
• intro, tour, history of Earth space
• 1 hour 30min of hands on help needed (weeding, sowing seeds, planting, harvesting, compost turning, etc.)
